In 2018, Sparks recovered a confidential settlement for an elderly woman who was severely injured on the property of an entertainment venue. The settlement was reached the Friday before a jury trial was set to begin, and after Sparks and his co-counsel, Christopher Codling, had litigated the negligence case for more than three years while the venue ownership fought the victim’s claims.
Also last year, Sparks litigated confidential policy limit insurance settlements for two clients who were injured when the car they were passengers in was hit by a driver who ran a red light. Both passengers suffered multiple injuries in the incident, including brain injuries, neck, back and shoulder injuries.
This year, Sparks will continue to pursue a pedestrian injury case in which his client suffered a closed head brain injury after being hit by a vehicle as she attempted to cross an intersection at a crosswalk in the south shore area of Hillsborough county.
