Robert Sparks Attorneys family law attorney Victoria Cruz-Garcia recently attended the second annual Schreck Moot Court Competition with a team of students from Western Michigan Cooley Law School.
The event, which focuses on the emerging issues at the intersection of regulation and gaming law, held at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas Boyd School of Law, invites law students from around the United States to compete for three days and hone their appellate advocacy skills in front of gaming practitioners from the gaming capitol of the world and prominent jurists.
“The opportunity to guide my students through the litigation of a realistic trial was inspiring,” said Cruz-Garcia, a family law attorney at Robert Sparks Attorneys. “The students worked really hard to apply their knowledge and training and compete with their peers in a setting that was as close to a real-life courtroom as they have witnessed at this point in their pre-professional lives.”
