A recent article from USA Today revealed that another recall is on the way for General Motor (GM) vehicles. GM announced that it has recalled all of its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks, as well as brand new vehicles which include the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon sport utility vehicles.

GM states that the recall is the result of an effort to fix a transmission oil cooler line that is not securely seated in its fitting. The danger of this defect is the potential for a vehicle fire. If the line is not securely seated and transmission oil leaks from the fitting, the oil could contact a hot surface and result in a vehicle fire.

This recall comes on the heels of the recent faulty ignition switches recall. The faulty ignition switches resulted in 31 known accidents and 12 deaths. The magnitude of the injuries and deaths lead to a federal investigation and probe and recent hearings before Congressional committees.
