On the heels of a $30 million jury verdict in 2017 on behalf of his client, Stephanie Ming, who suffered permanent and debilitating brain damage after she was hit by a vehicle while walking on the side of the road, Codling has continued to litigate other high-profile injury cases in the Tampa area.

In 2018, Codling recovered a confidential settlement for an elderly woman who was severely injured on the property of an entertainment venue. The settlement was reached the Friday before a jury trial was set to begin, and after Codling and his co-counsel, Robert Sparks, had litigated the negligence case for more than three years while the venue ownership fought the victim’s claims.

Also last year, Codling litigated confidential policy limit insurance settlements for two clients who were injured when the car they were passengers in was hit by a driver who ran a red light. Both passengers suffered multiple injuries in the incident, including brain injuries, neck, back and shoulder injuries.

This year, Codling will continue to pursue a pedestrian injury case in which his client suffered a closed head brain injury after being hit by a vehicle as she attempted to cross an intersection at a crosswalk in the south shore area of Hillsborough County.
